Job Description:
A civil planning engineer plays a vital role in the field of civil engineering, focusing on the planning and coordination of various construction projects. This position involves analyzing project requirements, preparing schedules, coordinating with different stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and within the defined timelines.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Site Analysis: Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather necessary data, assess the feasibility of projects, and identify potential challenges or constraints.
Resource Allocation: Determine the required resources, such as materials, equipment, and manpower, for each project phase and allocate them appropriately to ensure smooth project execution.
Scheduling: Create and maintain project schedules using specialized software tools, considering the sequence of activities, critical paths, and resource availability.
Cost Estimation: Assist in estimating project costs, including material quantities, labor expenses, and equipment requirements, to support budgeting and financial planning.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may affect project timelines or quality, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with local building codes, regulations, and permit requirements to ensure that projects comply with legal and safety standards.
Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to align project goals, resolve design conflicts, and address technical issues.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on project progress, highlighting any deviations from the planned schedules and proposing corrective measures as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in civil planning or project management within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using project management software tools and scheduling techniques.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and building codes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with CAD software and other relevant technical tools.
