Job objective:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining servers and applications using Node.js and NestJS technologies, managing PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance, and utilizing tools like DigitalOcean and Nginx. Additionally, the role involves managing code repositories with GitHub.

Roles and Responsibilities

Server Development and Maintenance:

Build and maintain servers using Node.js and NestJS to ensure high performance and quick responsiveness.

Database Management:

Design and manage PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.

Cloud Deployment and Management:

Utilize platforms like DigitalOcean for effective deployment and management of applications.

Server Management:

Set up and manage Nginx as a web server to ensure load distribution and security.

Code Repository Management:

Utilize GitHub for code management, team collaboration, and code review.

Integration and Collaboration:

Work closely with other development teams to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end services.

Performance Optimization:

Monitor and analyze application performance and propose and implement continuous improvements.

Problem Solving:

Identify and solve technical issues quickly and effectively to ensure business continuity.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience:

- 2–5 years of experience in backend development using Node.js and NestJS or a related role.

Technical Skills:

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

- Expertise in Node.js and NestJS.

- Experience with PostgreSQL, including database schema design, optimization, and Proficient in using Git and GitHub for code management, collaboration, and version control.

- Hands-on experience with DigitalOcean or similar cloud hosting services.

- Practical knowledge in setting up and managing Nginx for load balancing and security.

- Proficiency with SSH for secure remote server management.

- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha for backend code testing.

- Strong experience in building RESTful APIs.

- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus (Optional).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools is a plus (Optional).
